You’re Not Broken. Your System Is.
Most men don’t fail because they’re lazy — they fail because they’re stuck in a loop: start-strong → self-sabotage → shame → reset. Progress Theory exists to break that loop and install a system that makes momentum repeatable.
Mission Statement
Progress Theory is an organization built with the mission of helping as many people as possible transform themselves and design fulfilling lives. I believe through education, community reinforcement, and systematic refinement over time, Progress Theory will become a resource that any person can use to create deliberate growth and increase the fulfillment they experience within their lifetime. By utilizing systems, community data, and consistent feedback, I believe that every member of Progress Theory can come together to create refined, proven strategies for creating positive human transformation and optimizing wellbeing.
What Progress Theory Is
Progress Theory is a practical operating system for behavior change and personal transformation.
It turns growth into something measurable and repeatable by treating life like a game—not as a gimmick, but as a framework: clear rules, a scoring system, and small wins that compound. By utilizing tracking, progressive overload, and weekly reflection, you stop relying on motivation and start building momentum through repeatable reps. What begins as a simple daily structure becomes a system for compounding progress.
Progress Theory is built on a 2 step process.
Step 1: Compulsion → Consistency (12 Week Program)
Step 2: Consistency → Life Design (Phase 2)
With the right system, any human being can bridge the gap between who they currently are and who they want to be. With time, Progress Theory aims to become that system. Progress Theory is being built in public. Early Members get direct access to the evolving system and will help shape what it becomes.
My name is Garret Stevenson and I am the founder of Progress Theory. This organization and the mission behind it is a result of my experiences struggling with addiction, self-destruction, and depression. For many years, I had a clear image in my head of the person I wanted to be and the life I wanted to create for myself, yet I continuously allowed my impulses, weakness, and fear to derail my efforts, limit my growth, and widen the gap between who I was and who I wanted to become. After years of failure, I gave up entirely. My health and fitness plummeted, my finances collapsed, and my addictive behavior drove me to the brink of suicide. I spent 2 years feeling completely lost, broken, and hopeless. I felt completely powerless in my ability to turn my life around.
Meet the Founder
Over the last few years, I have devoted myself to the process of repairing my life and understanding the mechanics behind both human transformation and human wellbeing. I started as a man with horrible physical health who was drowning in debt and cyclically engaging in extremely destructive behavior, and have gradually built myself a solid foundation regarding my physiological health, financial resources, and behavioral consistency. In my attempts to turn my life around, I have come to believe that my experience with addiction, self-destruction, and mental illness can be analyzed and integrated in a way that allows me to help other people facing similar struggles. By no means do I have all the answers, but if you are stuck in a loop of starting strong → collapsing → and resetting, I am confident that I can help you break it.
